PPA Manager - Hungary & SEE

What functions will you perform?

ID Energy Group is a Spanish company dedicated to the development and construction of renewable energy projects with a special focus on solar PV. The company is in a continuous process of international expansion and has already established itself in more markets: Spain, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, Chile.

ID Energy Group is currently looking for a PPA Manager - Hungary & SEE to reinforce its regional team based in Budapest. The successful candidate’s task will be to source PPA solutions for the current and future portfolio of renewable energy projects, reporting to the regional management and coordinating with the global PPA team in Spain.

Responsibilities:

Identify new energy off-taking opportunities with the support of the business development team in Hungary and in the South-East European markets
Prepare market analysis reports on the situation of PPAs in the target markets
Follow the energy market trends and adapt the business model accordingly
Devise and execute market strategies for securing PPAs
Be in charge of the negotiations with the potential energy off-takers
Develop relationships with external stakeholders e.g., corporates, service providers and traders
Participate in PPA tenders, create proposals and PPA pricing quotations, which are aligned with ID Energy Group return expectations
Lead and synchronize the efforts between the different internal departments during the PPA negotiations
Lead the PPA contracts’ drafting and signing procedures
Manage the communication with the PPA clients after the PPA signing and until the start of the energy supply
Coordinate with the project financing department to ensure the bankability of the PPAs as well as support on securing the debt financing whenever necessary

Your profile

At least 3-5 years of experience in any of the following sectors: renewable energy or energy trading
Experience and understanding of the PPA agreements, development and/or financing of renewable energy projects
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Finance/Economics/Business Management, or similar and relevant disciplines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong business acumen
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of the Hungarian renewable energy market policies
Proficiency in English and in Hungarian
Croatian/Serbian/Romanian or Spanish language knowledge is a plus.
